Challenge #2 – The chilly fall air makes me want to curl up on the couch with a good book – Take a photo illustrating the word "cozy"
project 12 - October - 2 - cozy in the woods

Challenge #3- The leaves are beginning to fall from the trees. – Capture a photo of fall leaves
project 12 - October - 3 - autumn ferns
Our leaves don't really fall off the trees or change color, but we do get the most beautiful golden autumn light.

Challenge #4 - Picking apples and pumpkins, visiting the fair and creeping through the corn maze - Take a photo of your favorite fall activity.
project 12 - October - 4 - breast cancer walk
One of my favorite fall activities is the breast cancer walk. It's amazing to see how many people come out to share their support and fund-raise towards providing support for people with breast cancer.

Featured on the MCP Actions blog.

Challenge #5 – All Hallow's Eve is upon us – Capture a spooky photo!
project 12 - October - 5 - ghostly headlights
A mist appeared out of nowhere, making the headlights of the approaching cars appear spooky

"it's hard to ignore that it feels like summer all the time"

Just one from my walk today. It still feels like summer, only the light has a beautiful autumn glow.

barefoot in the backyard

I have a belief that walking barefoot in the rain with my cameras makes everything better.

The Color Run Miami

One of my friends did the Color Run today and I went to support her. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I could have made and it was totally worth waking up before the sun.
The second Laurel asked me if would come take pictures, I jumped on the opportunity. I am not a runner; I don't think I'll ever be a runner. But I've heard that the Color Run is an amazing experience and something worth being a part of. To stand there in 'the fray' (as I called it) with all the runners throwing colors and celebrating their successful run was absolutely amazing.
I was honestly a little worried about bringing a camera so I brought my old DSLR, Marjorie. Her sensor is going and so there's a lot of noise, especially after playing in Photoshop. Please don't hold it against me.

With Laurel and Doug by my side, I charged into the fray with both cameras. (I brought my Holga with me too.)
